HE Khamis Al Sahouti, Qatar Ambassador to the Dominican Republic, met with the His Excellency Rubén Darío Paulino, Minister of Defense and Lieutenant General of the Dominican Armed Forces. The Ambassador presented an official invitation to the Minister to participate in the Sixth Edition of the Doha International Exhibition and Conference for Maritime Defense (DIMDEX).

 
During the meeting, the Ambassador informed the Minister that this conference is an international platform to showcase the latest marine innovations from around the world and a valuable opportunity to meet with official delegations and representatives of international trademarks to promote their products.

 
On this occasion, the Minister thanked the Ambassador for his kind invitation to involve the Dominican Republic in this conference in order to communicate with representatives of the main international companies specialized in the arms and defense industries, as well as take advantage of the international experts and explore the latest developments in this sector.

 
The meeting also discussed the siege imposed on the State of Qatar since the outbreak of the crisis and its repercussions on this country and the Gulf Cooperation Council and the entire region, as well as the issue of the violation of Emirati fighters in Qatar airspace. In this regard, the Ambassador informed the Minister that the State of Qatar submitted a complaint to the Secretary General of the United Nations.
