Capital:
Santo Domingo, D.N (National District).

National Anthem:
"Quisqueyanos Valientes"
Flag:
Formed by a White Cross that divides the flag into four squares, two in blue color and two in red color so that you can see the two colors in alternately sides on the flag and in the center is the four parts of the leaded the Dominican National Shield.
Monetary Unit:
Dominican Peso.
Branches of Government:
Executive:
Represented by the Head of State and the Vice-President those are elected every four years.
Legislative:
Senate of 32 members, representing each province and House of Representatives of 190 members, divided among provinces proportionally by population.
Judicial:
Supreme Court of sixteen members including 11 appointed by the National Judicial Council, which is headed by the President of the Republic.
Elections:
The presidential election is held every four years. Members of the Senate and members of the House of Representatives are elected each four years at the same time as the presidential election.
Political Parties:
Dominican Liberation Party:
It is the ruling party and is considered the most important party in the country.
Dominican Revolutionary Party:
The main opposition party in the country, but recently made an alliance with the ruling party.
Modern Revolutionary Party:
the second opposition political force in the country.
Social Christian Reform Party:

Administrative Divisions:
