His Excellency Ambassador Khamis Al Sahouti met with the Prime Minister of the Commonwealth of Dominica, Mr. Roosevelt Skerrit, as part of his visit to present his credentials as a non-resident Ambassador of the State of Qatar in the country.

During the meeting the conversations were focused on strengthening the cooperation between the State of Qatar and the Commonwealth of Dominica in different fields and signing agreements and memorandums of understanding, as well as organizing a forum for businessmen in both countries and a High level summit between the two governments.

For his part, the Minister referred to the great economic projects of his country and the possibility of investment opportunities in several fields and the facilities offered by his government to encourage foreign investors, and expressed his desire for the contribution of the State of Qatar in the economic prosperity witnessed in the Commonwealth of Dominica.

Also during the meeting, the ambassador reported on the latest developments in the current Gulf crisis and the illegal measures taken by the countries of the blockade against the State of Qatar, and the Prime Minister stressed that his country is in favor of Kuwaiti mediation to resolve the crisis through dialogue.

At the end of the meeting, His Excellency the Prime Minister of the Commonwealth of Dominica wished the ambassador success in the exercise of his duties, emphasizing the importance of strengthening relations between the two countries in all areas of common interest.
