H.E. Khamis Al Sahouti, Qatar Ambassador to the Dominican Republic received at the headquarters of the Embassy a delegation of the Republic of Haiti formed by Mr. Jean Charles Jacques, Mrs. Esther Antoine, Counsel to the President elected H.E. Jovenil Moise and H.E.  Idalbert Pierre Jean, Ambassador of the Republic of Haiti accredited in the Dominican Republic.

During the meeting, the Ambassador of Qatar spoke with advisers of the President-elect H.E. Jovenil Moïse, on different ways of strengthening the bilateral relations between the State of Qatar and the Republic of Haiti. Likewise, the delegation expressed their deep gratitude for the support offered by Qatar to the country during its difficult times, and in particular with 2010 earthquake and Hurricane Mathew.

Also they highlighted the opportunities that present the country in natural wealth and investment; the delegation expressed their interest and permanent presence to support Qatar to promote the cooperation in fields of common interest such as tourism, education, energy and investments, among others.
