HE Miguel Vargas Maldonado, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Dominican Republic received at the head office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Dominican Republic,  His Excellency Dr. Hamad Bin Abdulaziz Al - Kawari, Candidate of the State of Qatar for the post of Director General of the United Nations for Education,  Science and Cultural Organization (UNESCO).

 During this meeting Dr. Al Kawari outlined the priorities of the programme and the vision of the Mission of the UNESCO in the human being development.

 Dr. The Kawari expressed the particular interest that leads Dominican Republic to play an important rol in the Organization and in the region, reiterating his motives of aspiration that is more than a devotion to the service of the human being but  to a position of prestige, since the challenges are so great that carry a  responsibility that is a challenge that must be sustained by a long experience in different multisectoral platforms and divergent trends that allow to prioritize the mission of UNESCO and allow equalities in the opportunities of growth and development.
